Carla Sanderson joined Rubinstein & Corozzo, LLP as an associate in September 2011 and quickly became a valuable addition to the team. Her intelligence and problem-solving skills enabled her to advance rapidly as an associate. She has become a prodigious attorney who is committed to providing her clients with the best service possible. Ms. Sanderson has been involved in a number of complex cases ranging from organized crime to white-collar defense to bankruptcy and civil litigation. In federal court, Ms. Sanderson has helped defend racketeering, narcotics trafficking, firearm possession, murder conspiracy, and financial fraud cases. In state court, Ms. Sanderson has represented clients charged with controlled substance offenses, sex crimes, domestic violence, robbery, assault, DWI, public lewdness, and menacing charges. Notably, her zealous advocacy on behalf of one of her clients led to the full dismissal of felony robbery charges in New York County. As a law student Ms. Sanderson successfully petitioned for asylum on behalf of a refugee from Côte d'Ivoire and served as Spanish translator for an LGBT asylum seeker. She was also Notes & Comments Editor for the Brooklyn Law Review and president of the Environmental Law Society.
